The Mercedes X-Class runs the 2.3 L Nissan YS23DDT I4-T engine. The new Mercedes-Benz pickup takes its chassis and some body panels from the Nisaan Navara NP300 Ute / Pickup.
The YS23DDT engine is controlled by a Siemens SID310 ECU / ECM and can be tuned by Alt Tune via the OBD diagnostic port. Emissions control on the engine comes in the form of EGR and DPF
Alt Tune can increase the power and torque output. The factory power output is 161 HP and this is increased to 225 HP safely. Torque is increased from 403 NM to 480 NM
